Zembrace SymTouch is a migraine medicine called a triptan, in a prefilled auto-injector pen. It acts on serotonin receptors (5-HT1B/1D) on blood vessels and nerves in the head. This is thought to narrow blood vessels and block the release of substances that cause swelling.

MedRx Infusion can fill Zembrace SymTouch with a prescription and deliver it free to your door.

What Zembrace SymTouch is prescribed for

Migraine attacks: adults, to treat a migraine attack with or without aura once it starts. It is only for people with a clear diagnosis of migraine and is not used to prevent migraine.

A prescription is required. Your prescriber decides whether Zembrace SymTouch is right for you.

How Zembrace SymTouch is given

Injection under the skin, given by you or a caregiver, after training.

If you have risk factors for heart disease, the label says to take the first dose in a medically supervised setting. After that, you can give the shots yourself at home.

Storage: Store it at room temperature (68°F to 77°F), away from light.

Before you start

Before the first dose, your prescriber may ask for:

a clear diagnosis of migraine
a heart check (cardiovascular evaluation) for people who have never taken a triptan and have several heart disease risk factors, such as older age, diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, obesity or a strong family history of heart disease
