Ongentys is a Parkinson's disease medicine called a COMT inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme (COMT) that breaks down levodopa in the body. It is taken along with levodopa/carbidopa.

What Ongentys is prescribed for

Parkinson's disease "off" episodes: people with Parkinson's disease who have "off" episodes (times when symptoms come back), as an add-on to levodopa/carbidopa.

Before you start

Before the first dose, your prescriber may ask for:
