Most infusion medications are given directly into a vein (IV) or under the skin.

Infusion therapy is used to treat many medical conditions, including immune system disorders, nerve and muscle diseases, and certain long-term illnesses.

Of the several hundred infusion drug therapies we provide in the comfort of your home or at an infusion suite, MedRx Infusion specializes in providing both types of immunoglobulin (antibody) therapy:

• IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin): Medication given directly into a vein.
• SCIG (Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin): Medication given under the skin.

We support patients receiving both FDA-approved treatments and certain off-label treatments prescribed by their doctors (i.e. infertility).

Once we receive your referral, our Intake Team will begin reviewing your information and work with your doctor's office to coordinate your care.

Depending on your treatment, our services may include:

• Medications: Specialty medications prescribed by your doctor.
• Infusion supplies: Needles, tubing, IV supplies, and other items needed for treatment.
• Infusion pumps: Equipment used to safely deliver certain medications.
• Nursing services: Skilled nurses who administer medications, monitor your treatment, and provide IV catheter care or lab draws when needed.
• Home delivery: Free next-day or scheduled delivery of medications and supplies anywhere we serve: 43 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
• 24/7 pharmacist support: Access to a MedRx pharmacist at any time for urgent medication-related questions.

Our team coordinates each step of your care to help ensure you receive the right medication and supplies when you need them.

At MedRx Infusion, our pharmacists do more than fill prescriptions. They play an active role in your care from the start of treatment and throughout your therapy.

Our clinical pharmacists work closely with your doctor to create a treatment plan that meets your needs. They review your medications, monitor your progress, help manage side effects, and make recommendations when needed.

Our pharmacy team includes pharmacists who have earned advanced certifications, such as:

• Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP): A pharmacist with advanced knowledge of specialty medications and patient care.
• Ig Certified Pharmacist (IgCP): A pharmacist with specialized knowledge of immunoglobulin therapy.

We also have a pharmacist available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because questions and concerns don't always happen during business hours.

At MedRx, your care doesn't stop when your medication is delivered.

MedRx Infusion works with skilled registered nurses (RNs) who are trained to administer infusion medications safely.

Depending on your treatment, your infusion nurse may:

• Start and manage your IV infusion
• Check your vital signs and monitor for side effects
• Care for your IV catheter or access device
• Collect blood samples for lab testing
• Teach you or your caregiver about your treatment
• Communicate with your doctor and MedRx pharmacist about your progress

The nurses we send and our pharmacists work together to make sure you receive safe, high-quality care.

If you have questions or concerns between treatments, a MedRx pharmacist is available 24/7 to assist you.

Medicare may cover home infusion therapy, depending on your medication, insurance plan, and medical needs.

Coverage may be available through:

• Medicare Part B: Covers certain medications and home infusion services when specific requirements are met.
• Medicare Part D: May cover many prescription infusion medications, but often does not cover the nursing services or supplies needed to give them.

At MedRx Infusion, our Intake Team will review your insurance benefits, check your coverage, and help obtain any required approvals before treatment begins.

For eligible patients whose medications are covered under Medicare Part D, MedRx may provide the needed infusion supplies and nursing services at no additional cost.

We can also help you explore financial assistance programs that may lower your out-of-pocket costs.
